MARKET UPDATE OCTOBER 2009

Traditionally, October is a good selling month; however viewings have dropped a little since September. Having said that, the conversion rate to offers is better and we have fewer insincere applicants which can only be a good thing. There is a distinct lack of new property being marketed and it is imperative that all current stock is priced appropriately and presented brilliantly to attract the cautious buyer.

The children are back at school and the nights have started to draw in and buyers are starting to think about moving before Christmas. Viewings have been stable over the past month and whilst it is still quite challenging to convert an offer to a sale, it can be done with hard work and lots of patience.
